SOCIAL CLUBS
Several clubs and associations are organized to create awareness and interest in the various subjects, General knowledge, current affairs and social activities which would in due course help to instill varied values in our students.
SPORTS
Instead of just preparing our children for a common exam we prepare them to meet the realities of life. Sport is an integral part of a student’s life. Inter house sports and games in different disciplines are held during the year to help the child develop an interest in sports from a young age. We have sprawling full fledged play ground for cricket, football, tennis, Volleyball, athletics etc. Facilities for indoor games like chess, carroms etc. are well addressed.
KARATE
We have implemented optional karate coaching to our students in order to
a) Improve their physical and mental health
b) Build self-esteem and strengthen their self-confidence
c) Improve their academic performance by raising their levels of energy, focus and concentration
d) Learn and master self – defense techniques.
ART AND CRAFT
Excellent training is given in drawing, painting and other crafts. The students participate and win numerous prizes in various levels of art competitions.
ASSEMBLY ACTIVITIES
A high quality school assembly is one of the most important aspects of a school’s curriculum. It provides a unique platform to explore and exploit the hidden potentials of the students, through prayers, music, short talks on burning issues, value based skits, enactments etc. Morning assembly is the Physical, mental and spiritual preparation before beginning the academics at school every day.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities in the belief that this is an essential aspect of their overall education and complimentary to their academic development. Adequate care will be taken to develop the communication skills and writing skills through debates, declamations, elocutions, dramatics, public speaking, creative writing competitions, hand writing competitions etc. Meditation and Yoga are imbibed into the daily curriculum.
THE SCHOOL BAND
The School band has been introduced in the year 2019. Training to the band group is provided by a professional trainer, a Band Major, retired from the police services. The instruments and the paraphernalia related to the band are made available for practice under the supervision of the band master. A select group of children from classes VII to X constitute the school band. The school band gives display of its prowess on important occasions.
Computer Education: No matter which career one chooses, a strong foundation in IT is needed. So Basic & Advanced Computer Courses are implemented.
Guest Lectures : Special classes by experts in various areas like personality development, character building, ethics and morals etc. are arranged periodically for better assimilation of knowledge by our students.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Beyond their classes, students participate in a wide array of integrated cultural activities throughout the year. Culture is intrinsic to education, just as education is intrinsic to culture. The two go hand in hand.
EDUCATIONAL TOURS
Every year the students are taken to places of educational and entertainment interest keeping in mind their age and intellect. This proves to be an interesting and enriching experience for them.
COMPETITIVE EXAMINATIONS & ATTRACTIVE PRIZES
The students are expected and encouraged to participate at various competitive examinations like mathematics and science Olympiads, spell bee etc. Students exhibiting outstanding performance in curricular and co-curricular activities are awarded certificates, medals and mementos periodically as a token of appreciation and encouragement.
THE WORK SCHEDULE
The school follows a six-day week schedule from Monday to Saturday for U.K.G. TO X Class and from Monday to Friday for Nursery and L.K.G. First Saturday of every month is observed as a Holiday for all students.
Timings: Monday to Saturday – 8.45 am to 3.30 pm.
School Transport : A Fleet of buses ply on specified routes facilitating the students to reach school and back home. The school transport is an optional facility and the students will be charged separately for availing this facility.
Visiting Hours : Parents can meet the class teachers to discuss the progress of their wards in the presence of the Principal/Head Mistress between 9.00 am to 12.00 noon on all Saturdays with prior appointment.
Extra Marks Smart Classes :- Extra Marks Smart Classes are introduced for classes Nursery to X.
Extra Marks Smart Class transforms traditional classrooms into futuristic ones. Extra marks digital class rooms have undeniably become the most efficiently used learning solutions in a short span of time. Due to the innovative approach, layered structure and pedagogy, it has been awarded and appreciated at different forums.
Library : Just a few minutes of reading can make all the difference. Therefore, the habit of reading is inculcated in our students right from kindergarten level. The school library is equipped with story books, general knowledge, encyclopedias and much more.
INVESTITURE CEREMONY
A colorful parade is held in August. The Correspondent administers the oath of office to the Head boy, Head girl and their deputies affirming from them, that they would abide by all the rules, regulations and be loyal to the school.
